I started feeling I am connected & linked with the Arabian letters (Scripts) since I was young, my aspire was to learn the precise rules of the Arabian letters in its shapes & the way it should be written.
The poor resources of books of famous calligraphers in Oman were one of my strengths to let me try my level best to learn from out sources. That kept me searching a lot to learn more and more to give what ever I have & teach the skills of calligraphy to my friends and however interested in calligraphy, by showing them the resources, skills, tools of the calligrapher and books. Until I joined “Omani Calligraphy Institute – Al-Seeb” there, I learned two types of calligraphy, which are “Roqah & Nasikh”
In 1997, I found that I should present my works with different vision than what was the old system present’s. Therefore, I started to look for new different modern ways to do practical and persuade way for the Arabian letters, and so it became a mean of appearance of what doubts in my mind.
I started using all the “28 Arabian letters” in a way that nobody can read what I am doing except me, but after being with letters for a while, I thought to present my work in a way that people will feel something in my paintings that they can explain to me their expression. The aim was to prove that how can we use letter to express our feelings & more to show the value of Arabian letters from different views.
